We have had a really positive relationship with Ignite for over 5 years. They provide our physical intervention courses for new starters and annual refresher courses for all staff. The feedback from all staff attending the training is always positive. Staff particularly enjoy the shared experience of the trainers who can so easily relate policy to practice.
The training is thorough and is exactly what we require and gives staff a solid foundation in understanding legislation, prevention, and de-escalation as well as the physical holds and how to practice safely. From a management perspective we enjoy a positive coproduction relationship with Ignite being incredibly flexible and responsive to our needs.

I wanted to personally write you an email and give you feedback to how your training went. Firstly, all the staff have not stopped talking about the training – stated it was the best training they have ever been on. Both you and your trainer was exceptional and staff said they were nervous to do the practical side of the training but you both made them feel at ease all day and were very confident in doing the practical side later in the day. You are very approachable and nothing is too much trouble for you. You are so intelligent and know the law to everything in your discussions. At no point in the training did you lose the attention of the staff and that, in its self is a massive achievement.
The other trainer is very down to earth and as soon as you meet her – it’s almost like you have known her all your life with the way she makes you feel. She is knowledgeable and can evidently see that she has been in the field for many years. It is one of the best training I have ever been on and learnt so much from your sessions. You have helped our staff feel confident in the role they play for behaviour that challenges and that makes our company stand out, and that’s thanks to your training.

My colleagues and myself attended a Positive behavioural management course with Ignite training. I have attended several behavioural management courses previously and found this course to be the best one yet. The trainers provided lots of their own knowledge alongside the theory and legislation that was taught. Both facilitator’s had similar work backgrounds to ourselves and were able to offer lots of knowledge from this which made the course so much more relatable. Both trainers insured that all staff fully understood the content of the course and broke aspects down to make them simpler where possible to help with my colleagues understanding. We were given a good amount of time for all to try out the breakaway techniques and use of physical intervention, useful demonstrations were provided where needed. Overall I cannot recommend Ignite training enough the training day which improved my own and colleagues knowledge massively in a relaxed and positive environment. I look forward to potentially completing other courses with ignite training in the future.

I attended this training (Breakaway and Ligature) at the beginning of November, the tutors were very welcoming and made you feel relaxed. I found the tutors were very knowledgeable and equipped with vast experience of dealing with conflict and ligature removal. The course was well presented even the boring bits (legalities). The physical learning part again was well presented, with humour and patience – they had no problem going over things a number of times if needed – making sure that everyone was confident in doing the moves etc.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this course to others.

As ‘Responsible Individual’ at Bespoke Care Group Ltd, I am responsible for staff training and development along with compliance. Recently, all our staff have undertaken training with Ignite Training Wales. Training has consisted of Ligature Awareness Training, Basic Law, and Breakaway and Disengagement.
